The Role:
Responsibilities: As a Business Development Manager, you'll be responsible for developing new client and partner relationships and business pipeline, and securing new business across our portfolio of HR and organizational effectiveness consulting services. This individual contributor role offers the opportunity to shape the growth trajectory of our firm while working with a diverse range of clients nationwide.
- Manages the daily execution of the business development strategy, plans, and processes to drive sales, increase revenue, expand markets, and accomplish financial objectives (revenue targets of $1M+)
- Manages the full sales cycle from initial contact through contract execution, including diligence, scoping, proposal development, contract/SOW drafting, and negotiation
- Builds and maintains a robust pipeline of opportunities across the United States
- Develops compelling proposals and presentations that effectively communicate our value proposition
- Navigates complex stakeholder environments to position our services effectively
- Partners with delivery team to identify opportunities for account expansion within existing client relationships
- Collaborates with delivery team to ensure scope alignment, project fit, smooth transitions from sales to delivery, and a successful client relationship
- Maintains accurate sales forecasts and pipeline data in HubSpot
- Stays current with market trends and competitive landscape in HR consulting
- Researches and analyzes current and future business opportunities
- Analyzes market trends, sales and marketing metrics, as well as pricing strategies to identify ways to improve firm sales and marketing efforts
- Design, develop and implement communication programs to promote and sell Peak’s brand and services as well as contribute to and evaluating our pricing strategies in the marketplace, driving long term revenue growth for the firm
- Leverages analytical skills and reporting to track business development success, ROI calculations, and KPIs
- Other duties based on business needs
- This position reports to the Founder /Managing Partner of the company
Basic Qualifications:
Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Human Resources, Marketing or related field.
Minimum Years of Experience: 5+ years working in an individual contributor sales role responsible for developing and securing new business.

Work Environment: Must have a home office set up as this position is almost exclusively virtual/remote. Home internet service with speeds in excess of 3Mb in both directions (upload and download) through a broadband internet service is required. Required Knowledge/Skills/Certifications:
- Strong book of business and professional contact list/network related to Peak’s current and growth markets
- Motivated; exhibits drive and has the ability to execute on sales goals and processes
- 5+ years of B2B sales experience with a proven track record in selling professional services or management consulting sales, as well as understanding of marketing and sales capabilities, including sales, marketing, branding
- Demonstrated knowledge of and experience selling HR, organizational development, change management, and/or related consulting services
- Proven ability to build relationships with senior executives, buyers, and key decision makers in organizations of various sizes (10-10,000+ employees)
- History of maintaining high client retention and securing follow-on business
- Proficiency with HubSpot CRM and other sales tools
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Able to work across, prioritize and deliver on multiple tasks at one time
- Intermediate proficiency with Google and Microsoft Suites
- Displays strong sense of urgency to meet tight timeframes and deadlines
- Builds trust with teams and stakeholders through open and honest conversation
- Anticipates stakeholder needs, and develop and discuss potential solutions, even before the stakeholder realizes they are required
- Demonstrates critical thinking and the ability to bring order to unstructured problems
